HANOI, 25 September 2022 – The signing ceremony of MoU between Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP) and Bac Giang Union of Science and Technology Associations (BUSTA) took place on 22 September 2022 at the VASS International Research Institutes Block in Hanoi City, hosted by IWEP. The MoU aims to foster mutual cooperation between the two parties on research, consulting, policy criticism, and human resources training in the field of social sciences over the 2022-2025 period.
In his special message delivered at the MoU signing ceremony, Dr. Phi Vinh Tuong, Acting Director General of IWEP remarked, “As a leading think tank in Vietnam, IWEP has a long history of producing high-quality research and consultation works. With the signing of this memorandum, IWEP will commit to enhance our collaboration and cooperation on research, application of science and technology, policy advisory and criticism, and human resources training for the socio-economic development of Bac Giang province. The agreement also marks the establishment of a new exchange platform for scholars and professionals between IWEP and BUSTA. In essence, IWEP pledges to create favorable conditions for our experts to engage in science and technology-related projects for the socio-economic development of Bac Giang province.”
Mr. Truong Quang Hai, Chairman of BUSTA pointed out that the memorandum set a clear foundation towards continued partnership between the two institutions, which includes academic exchanges, mutual visits of IWEP and BUSTA members to conduct research and fieldtrips, joint conferences, workshops and exhibitions, and dissemination of research results to local authority, businesses and relevant actors.
Through the MoU, the two parties indicated that the agreement has opened up a new chapter in IWEP-BUSTA relations and the two parties will work together with mutual trust to cement the partnership and explore detailed cooperation plans.
