HOANG THE ANH

Hoang The Anh is a Senior Researcher fellow, with 25 years of experience was studying China at Institute of Chinese Studies, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences. He has held the position of Vice Director- General of the Institute of Chinese Studies at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences for nearly ten years and is currently also the Editor in Chief of Vietnam’s Chinese Studies Review for four and a half years.  And from August 2021 up to now he is a Vice Director- General of Institute of World Economics and Politics, Deputy Editor in Chief and Editor in Chief of Review of World Economic and Political Issues.

He holds a PhD in Sociology from the Department of Sociology at Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou, China and had earlier completed a Masters in Social Sciences from the Institute of Asia–Pacific Studies, Nanhua University, Taiwan. Dr. Hoang The Anh research interests include China’s development strategy, China’s economy, society, China’s foreign policy and Vietnam-China relations.
