The world is standing at the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution which is based on the significant development of science and technology, specifically digital technology. The fourth industrial revolution differs from the previous ones in terms of both speed and scope, which has rapidly and considerably transformed many aspects of production, business, cultural and social life, national defense and security. This revolution has created various opportunities and challenges for all countries around the globe, so countries including developed, emerging and third world countries should take on proper policies to response to it.
The book “The Fourth Industrial Revolution: Policy responses of some countries and implications for Vietnam” focuses on policies responses to the Fourth Industrial Revolution in two groups of countries, namely developed countries, and emerging & developing countries. Thereby, the author proposes specific policy implications for Vietnam to take advantage of the opportunities and minimize the challenges and risks of the ongoing Fourth Industrial Revolution. This book contains three chapters as follows:
